A Castle for Clydesdales

AT WARM SPRINGS RANCH, it's all about horses!  The facilities are like a castle, where all of the horses are named and treated like royalty. And, what an environment it is for these large and beautiful animals. It has to be one of the world's best breeding operations. The Ranch is home to the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales.

Guided tours are offered at the Ranch for a behind-the-scenes, up close and personal experience, in the 25,000 square-foot facilities and surrounding outdoor areas. For the 2016 season, the Ranch is open for guests from March 26 to November 6. The weekly schedule is Thursdays through Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (closed on Wednesdays). Each tour is about one and a half hours in length. Tickets are $12 per guest; children 2 and under are free. The Ranch is accessible to the disabled and is ADA compliant.

Reservations are required. Guests may call 888-972-5933 or check out the Ranch's Web address at www.warmspringsranch.com for reservations or additional information and numerous beautiful photos.

Warm Springs Ranch is located approximately 15 miles west of Columbia, Missouri. To reach the Ranch from Missouri's I-70, take the Highway 179 North exit to Highway 98. Then turn right to the Ranch's main entry gate at 25270.

This was an extremely interesting, educational, and delightful leisure experience for me, and one that I enjoyed with my family. I highly recommend it!

*As a footnote, our family had lunch at the Blufftop Bistro within the grounds of the Les Bourgeois Vineyards located at 14020 W Hwy BB; Roachport, Missouri (telephone 800-690-1830).  The food was enjoyed prior to our visit to the Ranch. Lunch was excellent! In the bottom photo we are pictured at the Blufftop with the Missouri River behind us.
