Little Village; Big Delights
LOCATED along the coastline of northwest Florida's Panhandle is Grayton Beach. It's one of several small beach communities on Highway 30-A in south Walton County between Destin and Panama City. A direct route to Grayton Beach is south on County Highway 283 from U.S. Highway 98.
Grayton Beach has its share of local permanent residents, but also attracts visitors from near and far - actually, from all over the nation. Some are weekenders and short-term guests, especially those who come in the spring, summer, and early fall. Others are longer-term residents, often for part or all of the winter season.
There's plenty to do in GB! Or, it's easy to find a spot to basically do nothing - except enjoy yourself, like laying on a sun-drenched white sugar-sand beach reading a book or watching the waves. Of course, there's always shopping, dining, hiking, and biking - plus water and other outdoor activities of all kinds.
Some places you won't want to miss would include the Red Bar, Pandora's, the Shops of Grayton, Lily Pads, Borago Restaurant, Rock Hard Designs, Chanticleer Eatery, and the nearby Grayton Beach State Park.
Grayton is great for individuals of all ages, couples, and families. Just take a look at the pictures, and imagine being there! My guess is that you would find it to be a delightful leisure destination. It sure has been for me - many times, over many years.
