A Personal Word . . .
THIS POSTING wraps up ten years of "Leisure Lines!" The period covered has been from July, 2005 through June, 2015. During this time a total of 212 articles relating to recreation and leisure have been published online.
Now, in looking toward the foreseeable future, it seems to be good to do things somewhat differently. Beginning next month, July 2015, the following changes will be made.
-- New Postings will not necessarily be made every month.
-- New postings will not necessarily be within the first few days of the month.
-- The main content of posts will not necessarily be articles, but perhaps photos.
Of course, whatever is posted will continue to have a connection to leisure and recreation. And, alerts will continue, as in the past, when a new post goes online.
I am grateful for all my readers. Some of you have been thoughtful to make comments about my articles; and some have been gracious and kind in being real "cheerleaders" regarding my blog. All of your responses have been both helpful and encouraging.
The number of readers varies each month. What's interesting is that there are only around 50 "blog friends" (regular readers) on my list. But, the total number of people who read (or at least see) the blog averages between one and two thousand. That is truly amazing to me! In fact, I can only wonder how hundreds of people happen to find a blog called "Leisure Lines."
One thing I know: at least the word is being spread about the importance of recreation, and the wise use of leisure, in every person's life. This has been my passion for over five decades. And, it will continue to be for all my remaining years.

Ten straight years is a very good run. I guess it is time for Mr. Rec to practice blogging on a leisurely pace. Thanks for 10 years of great blogging.
I know like others I have enjoyed and you have inspired me to blog with some regularity.
Thanks for more than 10 years of influence on my life. It has been greatly appreciated.
