It's Time for a Christmas Party!

THIS IS a special time of the year! It's a season for celebrations and get-togethers for families, friends, members of churches and other organizations, professional colleagues, and work associates. It's a time for decorations, lights, music, gifts - and more. And, it's a great time for a party!

However, many of us know that it is not just about fun and frivolity, the candy or cookies, the trees or the garland. It's not really about the candy canes nor the tinsel. All of these things should be merely expressions of very grateful hearts for the Gift. Jesus Christ is the Gift! He should be the real reason we celebrate.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)*

Therefore, let's celebrate! Let's party! If invited to a Christmas party, go and enjoy the fellowship with others. Or, perhaps this might be a good year to have a Christmas party, and invite others to come. In either situation, enjoy the experience - but remember why we should be celebrating at this time of year.
